Over the past few months, we have been communicating with Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care. The charity, specialise in transporting cancer patients to and from hospital for their Chemotherapy and / or Radiotherapy treatment, free of charge.

This morning, we had a second visit from Brian (the founder) and his wonderful team. They spoke to the children in assembly about their amazing charity and how they would like us to be a small part of it.

We are delighted to be working with them to help to raise funds for such an amazing cause. Fund raising events will be happening in the new year, details will be sent out closer to the time.

As well as fundraising for Daft as a Brush, we have also been given the opportunity to adopt the back of an ambulance. You may have spotted them on the roads with their back doors covered in amazing designs by North East schools. Well, we are the next school to be lending our artistic flare to brighten someone’s day, keep your eyes peeled!

We have had a lovely, spotty day. We all decorated biscuits and Year 1 even visited Reception to help. The children had on the spot challenges to complete, set by our school council. The bell would ring and everyone would gather on the yard to complete an active challenge.

Thank you for helping us raise £161.24! 😄
