I am really enjoying my role as a parent governor at Newton Hall Infants’ School. I wanted to get involved because I am a mother to four children all of whom have or are currently pupils at Newton Hall Infant School.
I think that school should be engaging and I am passionate about making every day rewarding at school for all children, while they grow, learn and develop. This really is fundamental particularly throughout their primary school years.
I feel invested in the well-being of the children and staff at school and I want all children to have the opportunity to thrive and for the teaching staff to have the right support and opportunities to deliver an outstanding curriculum.
Children should have an engaging learning environment and I would like to support the school in maintaining high standards whilst also providing a wide range of learning opportunities for the benefit of all children within the school.
I bring a wealth of life experience as a mother but also as a nurse and a manager which I feel are transferrable skills to contribute positively, as a member of the Governing body.
