School Uniform

At Newton Hall Infants School we encourage all of our pupils to wear school uniform…

Most children wear school uniform colours of royal blue sweatshirt/cardigan/hoodie with a white polo shirt and grey, navy or black trousers/skirt.

As part of our uniform change, hoodies are welcomed as an alternative to cardigans and sweatshirts.

PE

For Physical Education (PE) lessons parents are asked to provide a PE kit consisting of black shorts, a t-shirt in the colour of their corresponding house team and PE shoes in a drawstring bag.

Houses/teams

England – Red

Wales – Yellow

Scotland – Blue

Northern Ireland – Green

If you aren’t sure of your child’s house team your child’s class teacher will be able to advise.

For reasons of health and safety we request that children wear sensible school shoes and, in line with the Local Authority policy, that jewellery is not worn for school, with the possible exception of ear studs, which the child must be able to remove for PE, unaided.

Please name all of your children’s clothes including their school coat, shoes and bag.

It is also helpful if parents check periodically, that PE shoes still fit and have not become too small for the children.

School Bags

We recommend a school book bag as it a sensible size that will fit all of the things the children will need to transport back and forth to home.

If you would like to add a keyring to your child’s bookbag it can make it easier for your child to identify. Please only attach one keyring.
